Smooth Mounting Chipboard

Smooth Mounting Chipboard is a rigid, non-bending fiberboard made from 100% recycled paper. Stocked in a wide range of calipers and sheet sizes, it’s ideal for mounting, backing, and packaging. Color may vary from natural brown to matte gray due to recycled content. Also known as Uncoated Recycled Board (URB) or boxboard. Fully recyclable.

Material Composition

Smooth Mounting Chipboard is manufactured from recycled paper fibers and is commonly classified as uncoated recycled board (URB). The material forms a rigid sheet structure that provides strength while maintaining a smooth surface suitable for mounting and packaging applications.
 

Performance Characteristics

The board offers excellent rigidity and dimensional stability, making it ideal for mounting prints, backing materials, packaging inserts, and display substrates.
